Genesis 1 vs Genesis 2
God created heaven and earth; he created light and separated from darkness. He separated water to water and sky. He m”ade the ground and called it “land”. He created animals and plants by words. After then, he created human. “God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them (Genesis 1: 27)”. Thus, human is created by God’s image.

God created Adam with the dust and blow the breathe of life into nostrils. God created the plants and let the trees to grow and then the animals. After, God made Adam to have a deep sleep and get rib from him and create a female. “This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called ‘woman’ for she was taken out of man (Genesis 2: 23)”. There are slightly two different story of creation.

In my personal opinion, bible could be slightly different because it was not written in the beginning but convey by word of mouth hand down orally so the information are unclear.

Adam and Eve
The LORD God made the earth and the heavens. He planted a garden in the east, in Eden; and placed the man he had formed to work the ground. The garden was full of trees; two were placed in the middle of the garden, one being the tree of life and the other being the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. The LORD God told the man to take care of the Garden of Eden allowing him to eat from any tree in the garden except the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
The LORD God formed, out of the ground, all the wild animals and all the birds in the sky. Adam (the man) did not find a suitable helper from the animals the LORD God had provided. The LORD God caused Adam to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping the LORD God created a woman out of the ribs of Adam. Adam and his wife (Eve) were naked but they felt no shame.
Of the animals that the LORD God formed was a serpent, the craftiest of all the wild animals the LORD God had made. The serpent told Eve to eat an apple from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Eve and her husband Adam believed the serpent and ate from the tree that they were commanded not to. Suddenly their eyes were opened to what the world really was and had to live that way for the rest of their lives.

Cain brings the offering of the fruit ground and Abel brings the offering of the meat from this first sheep flock. God only accepts Abel’s offering, and Cain kills his brother Abel. God punishes Cain but does not tell why God preferred to choose Abel’s offering.

When the lord noticed how all the human beings were evil the lord wiped the earth out from human beings and animals and regret he made them. God saw the world as full and lawlessness because of them so he destroyed. Noah was told how to make the ark step by step and when he was done he was told to bring two of every kind of living creature along with him, one male and one female; every kind of animal and keep them alive also to provide food that is to be eaten. Noah did just as god commanded him too. The lord told Noah that 7 days from now he would bring rain down on the earth for forty days and forty nights and whip out everything that he has ever made. Noah was 600 years old when the flood came. When the 7 days were over Noah, his sons, wife, and son’s wife’s went to the ark because of the flood on the earth. For forty days and forty nights it heavy rained on the earth, the same day that Noah, Noah’s wife, his sons, the wife’s of his sons, and the animals two by two entered the ark. The flood continued on the earth for forty days and as the water increased the ark lifted upon the earth. Everything on dry land and on land breathing died, the lord wiped out everything on earth, human beings animals, crawling things, birds, everything wiped out from earth and the only thing left was Noah and those with him on the ark.

The word of the LORD came to Jonah: “Go to the great city of Nineveh and preach against it, because its wickedness has come up before me.” But Jonah ran away the LORD and headed for Tarshish where he found a ship that he could board and flee from the LORD.
The LORD sent great winds out on the sea. The captain of the ship and the sailors cast lots to find out who is responsible for this calamity. The lot fell on Jonah. Jonah told them “I am a Hebrew and I worship the LORD, the God of heaven, who made the sea and the dry land.” They knew that he was running away from the lord because he had told them earlier. Jonah told them to throw him into the sea, in order to calm the storm. The men cried out to the LORD asking him to not punish them for killing Jonah. Then they took Jonah and threw him overboard, and the raging sea grew calm.
The LORD provided a huge fish to swallow Jonah, and Jonah was in the belly of the fish for three days and three nights. Inside the fish, Jonah prayed to the LORD, promising to sacrifice to him and vowed to stay true to his word. The LORD commanded the fish, and it vomited Jonah onto dry land.

The Tower of Babel
During this time period everyone who lived on earth shared one language so every understood everyone. People started saying that they should make a tower that will reach up to heaven. God know about this plan and when came down to see what was made he was very unpleased with what people had built. God then said that the people that share the same language are going to start making towers to not give god glory but themselves so god confused the language of the people so they couldn’t understand each other. The reason that the tower was called Babel is because God had confused the language of the people and scattered then all over the earth.
